Do you know who your stress belongs to?

Curious? Come on in...

Hello, hello,

What is your relationship with stress?

There are a few insights that completely changed my relationship to stress.

That so often the stress that lived in my body wasn’t mine. It belonged to a couple of close people in my life.

Now in the moments when I’m in their company and my nervous system feels on fire, I look within me, feel it, and tell myself ‘this doesn’t belong to me’. And mentally and physically breathe it out.

Do you know who your stress belongs to?

Secondly, that stress can be a driver for pushing through and achieving things in my life that make me nervous.

It can make me next-level productive. Identifying it as a positive driver changes the narrative. Helping me know that I’m breaking through my comfort zone into my growth zone.

When I first launched NeedWorkshops back in October I started playing with offering workshops that provided introspective space.

They were secondary to the workshops which were designed to drive impact - the activation workshops. Those designed around the SDGs. I simply designed based on a need I recognised within myself.

Yet, the more I talked to those trying to drive impact and change within their communities and organisations the more I recongised that taking care of our inner selves has to go hand in hand with our drive to make impact.

In line with global initiatives like the Inner Development Goals.

So far our inner work workshops have focused on designing healthy boundaries, exploring your inner compass and, next week playing with stress.

Do you have a need when it comes to inner work that we can design for? Pop me an email.

Curiously connecting,

always,

Perle

P.s. Receiving responses to my first email made my heart glow - my inbox is always open for reflections, insights, questions…

I love Song Exploder for its calming effect. Opening my eyes to the creative process behind the music I love. Each episode dissects a song from inception to completion, offering a profound glimpse into the artist's journey. Michael Kiwanuka's episode beautifully illustrates overcoming creative barriers and insecurity to craft a masterpiece.
