Spring energy unlocked. Here’s what I’m doing with it
Curious? Come on in...
Hello, hello,
I’m not sure what spring does to your energy, but for me? I become a whole new person.
There’s a reason I never make New Year’s resolutions. January isn’t my time. I’m still hibernating. More inward-focused than outward-looking. It’s a time for reflection, not reinvention.
But with the arrival of spring, something shifts.
There’s a vibrancy in the air (and in me). More sunlight. More space. More momentum. And that has a direct impact on how I show up. Especially for NeedWorkshops. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve felt a renewed sense of clarity and intention.
Which brings me to something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately:
🌀 Not every month is a sprint.
As I’ve transitioned from testing a concept to building a business, I’ve had to learn this lesson again and again. Freelancing has taught me to honour the ebbs as much as the flows. To embrace the natural slowdowns as much as the growth spurts.
A diagram that really helped me visualise this is something called the Less Than Twelve-Month Year. It points out something we often forget: while there are 12 months on the calendar, not all of them are equally productive.

NeedWorkshops Less Than Twelve-Month Year
There are cycles. Peaks. Dips. Natural pauses.
I plan the growth of NeedWorkshops around these productivity windows. For me:
March is the moment to invest—planting the seeds for the year.
May is when I evaluate—what’s working and what needs to be streamlined?
September is the strategy window—when I zoom out, reflect on my annual goals, and decide where to expand (including who I might need to hire to grow).
So, what’s happening this month?
I’ve just hired a business coach to help me break out of the comfort zone of referrals and build a more intentional growth path. It feels like the right time to take that leap.
Because when you know your rhythm, you know when to put your foot on the gas, and when to give yourself a moment to breathe.
What about you?
Do you know your peak productivity months? When do you feel most ready to make bold moves?
I’d love to hear your rhythm.
Curiously connecting,
Always,
